195,000 READERS AND WE HOPE EVERY ONE OF THEM LEARNS THE HISTORY OF

MAY 4, 1970 AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY

When we started college, Kent State University was just over a dozen years removed from the violence of the Ohio National Guard.

Right wing, GOP, reactionary “leaders,” right up to incompetent Governor James Rhodes, spilled blood over peaceful, legal protest.

Now we are nearly a half century removed from the deaths of four innocent students.

But our nation has learned nothing, as a stolen presidency colludes with an enemy nation and greedy Republicans who only look out for the one percent.

More often than not, this blog is upbeat and whimsical.

We share pictures of our travels and of Honeybear, our beloved rescue Siamese.

Sometimes, we take a stand against urban designers, architects, planners and engineers who fail to build brand new spaces with Universal Design, Inclusive Mobility, Access for All and Visitability in mind.

We usually save our skewering -- of #45 and his racist lynch mob of evil cabinet members and angry old men GOPers in the Senate and House – for our tweets and Facebook posts.

Today, as we celebrate having more than 195,000 unique visitors to this blog, we mourn the injured and dead of May 4th 1970.

While we pray that the 50th observance of the events at Kent State will happen with someone other than Treasonous Trump in the White House.
