THE
ARENA DISTRICT: CONNECTIVITY IS KEY TO
COLUMBUS’ DOWNTOWN
URBAN DEVELOPMENT
Coleman lauded the Arena District for the way it has encouraged
people to come in from the suburbs and invest in living, working and spending
their leisure time in downtown Columbus.
“I think we’re seeing a resurgence of interest nationwide in the
quality and amenities of a neighborhood’s `built’ environment,” the mayor
observed.
“People are making more conscious decisions about where they want to
live and work. People are looking for
simpler, safer, more human-scale environments. I foresee developments like the
Arena District, which provides such a great urban experience, will be very successful.”
