The second edition of 1000 x European Architecture,
published in 2011, has totally new projects.
While we love this vivid book, the one negative is the
writing.
Hundreds of individual firms submitted write ups on their
projects for the original book, published in German.
Think of translating dozens of native tongues into a harmonized
book in English.
The wording can get a tiny bit awkward -- but it's the
lavish images -- at least a half dozen per page -- that sell this sleek volume.
Book review of 1000 x European Architecture
continues
tomorrow, October 13
The book sells for $125.
