ON THE HIGH LINE -- BOOK REVIEW -- PART 2

EXPLORING AMERICA'S
MOST ORIGINAL URBAN PARK

Noted photographer and horticulturalist Rick Darke provides the preface, additional text and photographs. Principal photography is by Scott Myln and Juan Valentine.

La Farge, a lifelong New Yorker who lives along the High Line in Chelsea, writes a the blog Livin' the High Line.

The book features seven color coded chapters that cover various sections of the High Line.

It also has a five-panel gatefold map, so it can be a guidebook as well as a keepsake souvenir of Gotham's famed urban park.

The gatefold map is especially handy for wheelchair users, as it marks accessible, elevator-served entrances at 14th, 16th, 23rd and 30th streets.

High Line book review continues tomorrow, October 20
