NEVER CLOSED, NEVER WITHOUT A CUSTOMER
For all these years, it’s been a cash only operation at the
Pantry – no credit cards allowed.
The cashier sits in a little windowed room at the front.
The waiters have been there forever and they start you off
with that incomparable Pantry cup of coffee.
The stuff’s so popular, you can order a gallon of it to go
for less than eight bucks.
Breakfast is served around the clock and we live for the
pancakes – browned just to the point of burning, so they are perfect.
We’re big eaters, but we can never finish the stack of three
big, fluffy pancakes.
The Original Pantry Review continues tomorrow Nov. 14
