A TRIBUTE TO KEN WRIGHT 1935-2014 PART 6
MY DAD TAUGHT ME...
TO NOT BE AFRAID OF TRYING NEW THINGS
My mom, who has put up with my picky palette and fickle food phobias for a half century may not believe it.
But dad's zest for life’s flavors has led me to enjoy chicharrones Antioquia for breakfast in the mountains high above Medellin, pupusas served from a roadside stable in rural Guatemala, Tiburon entero for lakeside lunch in Nicaragua and a gourmet dinner personally cooked by Gordon Ramsey in London.
This is a 12-day tribute to my dad, who died a few days before Thanksgiving this year, from his first-born son.
