The Birmingham
Association of REALTORS (BAR), supported the master plan and continues to work
with the city’s mayor and other elected officials on issues of community,
development, planning, land use, business and urban living.
“We are actively involved in restoring the value that was taken away by redlining,” said William Baylor, Vice President of Government Affairs for BAR.
“REALTORS are natural canvassers.
They are in the neighborhoods, they see
trends – positive and negative – so it natural for them to build relationships
with Mayors, City Managers and other leaders to address local issues.”
