WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF STORMWATER RETENTION
This photo
is emblematic of two failures in Miami.
First,
housing is so unaffordable, that many small single family homes house 3
unrelated families.
Second, when
your transit is deficient, entire front lawns become parking lots for too many
cars.
The lot is
100 percent concrete and roof.
Not one inch
for water to absorb.
Hundreds of
lots like this in Little Havana.
Heat island
impact is devastating. This is a block from 27 Ave, but bus service is so slow
and disjointed that everybody buys a car to get to work.
