HOTEL K6 OSAKA NAMBA SHINABAISHI NEAR DOTONBORI

UNMATCHED AMENITIES, LOCATION, FREEBIES

AND HELPFUL STAFF AT A VERY FAIR PRICE

When I arrived at Hotel K6 Osaka Namba Shinsaibashi and saw the array of hard liquor, wine, sake and Shōchū with soda highball dispenser – I felt some trepidation.

I could see where free, unlimited booze could create some noisy, sleep-disturbing neighbors.

This was NOT the case at all on my floor, but I'm wondering out loud whether they should place some kind of limit on the free flowing alcohol.

Bottom line: Hotel K6 Osaka Namba Shinsaibashi is the first lodging I’ve stayed, out of hundreds, worthy of 10/10 review!

HOTEL K6 OSAKA NAMBA SHINABAISHI NEAR DOTONBORI

UNMATCHED AMENITIES, LOCATION, FREEBIES

AND HELPFUL STAFF AT A VERY FAIR PRICE

During my 5 nights at Hotel K6 Osaka Namba Shinsaibashi, there were some noises from the room above --

kids jumping off the bunk bed?

Person who works out at odd hours?

Or maybe it was some sound from nearby trains or freeway that I thought was in the hotel.

At any rate, using the free earplugs provided and bumping up the fan on the AC had me sleeping fine.

The mid-section of the room -- tub/shower/toilet/dressing room double sinks -- is raised.

Being 13 time zones from home and a tad disoriented, this can be a tripping hazard -- especially at night when you are getting out of bed and forgetting to step up a foot to use the toilet.

UNMATCHED AMENITIES, LOCATION, FREEBIES

The Hotel K6 Osaka Namba Shinsaibashi staff has translate apps to communicate by voice.

Two elevators to get you to room speedily.

A menu of towels and pillows to supplement the comfy ones in the room.

I had a luxury stay at a price just above $100 USD including taxes.

The amount of freebies is astounding -- and they all are high quality.

I enjoyed this well-run property more than past stays at $1K per night luxe branded hotels.

They think of everything.

They scrimp on nothing.

I will run out of space before I list the endless high quality amenities.

The Hotel K6 Osaka Namba Shinsaibashi common area is unmatched.

It has a welcoming, lavish and warm breakfast buffet.

Gourmet coffee machine and soda machine add to the calming atmosphere.

Amazing veggie curry, ramen, baked sweet potatoes and other free top notch food is available around the clock.

The lobby has free wine, sake, liquor.

The hotel draws a high caliber guest -- because I saw no one abusing the free alcohol or being noisy.

Dozens of free small things -- think ear plugs, glasses cleaning wipes, face masks -- are available in baskets in the lobby.

Hotel K6 Osaka Namba Shinsaibashi places you footsteps away from famous sites, fabulous street and sit down food, fun bars and all ranges of shopping.

The nearby Namba train station provides excellent access to all of Osaka's downtown lavish department stores, aquarium and Ferris Wheel on Osaka Bay -- and all the quirky little foodie neighborhood.

Upon check-in, they give you credits for full room and light cleanings.

That way you can have zero disturbance or frequent housekeeping.

The front desk is super responsive -- helped me with directions, suggestions and resetting the AC controller that I bumped in the night.

Every hotel on earth should be like Hotel K6 Osaka Namba Shinsaibashi.

The amenities are amazing.

My room was large and featured a huge tube and shower with TV.

The bed was comfortable.

The mini fridge was large and cool.

The dressing area is amazing with side by side sinks and dozens of high quality grooming products.

The location is perfect -- 5 minutes from major Namba train station and right at glitzy Dotonbori (neon, crowds, restaurants, energy) but somehow quiet and calm.

EXECUTIVE HOTEL LE SOLEIL NEW YORK

SUPER-EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND QUIET ROOM WITH MINI-FRIDGE AND LOCATION NEAR TONS OF TRAIN TRANSIT

The only other thing I would add to the super-comfortable room is a grab bar and shower wand in the outstanding shower.

Grab bars and wands are not just for people with disabilities.

We all like to have something to steady ourselves with late night in an unfamiliar shower.

And the shower wand -- it just plain reaches places that even the nicest overhead nozzle cannot.

Bottom line, if work is taking you to Midtown – or your vacation needs a very well-run lodging close to transit, book an Empire State Building-facing room at Executive Hotel le Soleil New York.

EXECUTIVE HOTEL LE SOLEIL NEW YORK

SUPER-EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND QUIET ROOM WITH MINI-FRIDGE AND LOCATION NEAR TONS OF TRAIN TRANSIT

I specifically wanted a room with a mini fridge.

I have lost more than 100 pounds and the key to it is eating fruit and grains for breakfast and storing healthy snacks along with almond milk for cereal, etc.

I even emailed to confirm the fridge at booking time.

On arrival, the fridge was room temp, but I figured they maybe just plugged it in.

The next day, my berries looked like they were not doing well.

By the night of the first full day, my nonfat milk had spoiled and I realized that the fridge was barely cooling.

On the plus side, I phoned the next early morning and they switched out the fridge for a great one.

Whoever came to the room put every last item in the fridge exactly as I had left it + they did not disturb one square inch of the other parts of the room.

Bravo.

SUPER-EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND QUIET ROOM WITH MINI-FRIDGE AND LOCATION NEAR TONS OF TRAIN TRANSIT\

For less than $3 one-way, the ferry takes you to Long Island City, Wall Street area, Upper East Side and several key stops in Queens.

I used the Hornblower NYC Ferry Service for a lot of work and leisure mobility.

It worked for Manhattan skyline photos at dusk, for running along the river for exercise and for transit that also gave tourist-class views of the city in late summer.

SUPER-EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND QUIET ROOM WITH MINI-FRIDGE AND LOCATION NEAR TONS OF TRAIN TRANSIT

I never used a taxi or ride share.

Koreatown food is blocks away.

A huge Whole Foods is a few blocks up by Bryant Park, so I could get milk, berries, cereal and more for breakfast in the room.

The 34 special bus stops very close by and it's a great east-west connector, especially the route that stops at FDR and the East River.

That's exactly where the NYC Ferry (water taxi) stops.

Daily housekeeping was not done due to COVID.

But I don't like daily intrusions and if I needed a spare towel, shampoo, anything -- it was in my room in lightning speed.

The front desk as warm and fast for check in.

View of Empire State building through large window in room was a cool bonus.

The neighborhood was quiet at night -- as this is not exactly hipster ground zero location.

There is major train transit nearby at Herald Square, Penn Station and Times Square.

EXECUTIVE HOTEL LE SOLEIL NEW YORK

SUPER-EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND QUIET ROOM WITH MINI-FRIDGE AND LOCATION NEAR TONS OF TRAIN TRANSIT

The price point was amazing.

A $250 to $300 room for $150 (plus taxes).

Very quiet room with a great bed and efficient layout.

I loved the walk-in shower with endless hot water.

The room is not big, but I don't come to New York to sit in the room.

The storage space, mainly a vertical tower with all kinds of drawers and open cubes, was the best I've seen in a compact room.

It had a great desk (also my breakfast bar) and closet. Lots of outlets and two charging stations on the clock radio.
