Centers for Disease Control numbers show that one in five people will experience some degree of disability in their lifetime.
The need for strategies to make
housing age-friendly and barrier-free has never been greater.
Rodney Harrell — AARP’s vice president
for Family, Home and Community — said housing can no longer be built in a
conventional way — that it must be more flexible, diverse and accommodating.
