This makes it hard to finance ADUs. They are excellent ways of providing flexibility for the homeowner.
They can help pay for repairs and modifications for their home through ADU rent.
They can have an on-site caregiver staying in the ADU for
free or reduced rent,” AARP’s Harrell said, noting that the community benefits
by bringing young, bright medical, nursing, physical therapy, occupational
therapy and other students into a more vibrant neighborhood.
