HOTEL VERITE NEW YORK -- PART 7

THE PERFECT BOUTIQUE HOTEL FOR UNION SQUARE, THE FLATIRON DISTRICT AND BEYOND

We can’t think of a better place to escape cookie cutter chain hotel boredom.

Verite even has one room designed for wheelchair users, with a roll-in shower.

The zen-like lobby is up a few steps from the main entrance, but there is a level ground entrance off Broadwa for wheelchair users.

Verite, we’re sorry we ever doubted you.

We’ll recommend you to all our friends and be back to stay in the spring.

HOTEL VERITE NEW YORK -- PART 6

THE PERFECT BOUTIQUE HOTEL FOR UNION SQUARE, THE FLATIRON DISTRICT AND BEYOND

The bathroom was about a third the size of the entire guest room.

That allowed for a very luxurious shower with endless warm water and no leaks.

The room had a little desk that was perfect for finishing the day’s work tasks and thumbing through our Ipad to see if we could catch a jazz show at the Vanguard.

The ordered wakeup calls were right on time.
Back stowage was safe and secure.
The bed was super comfy.

HOTEL VERITE NEW YORK -- PART 5

THE PERFECT BOUTIQUE HOTEL FOR UNION SQUARE, THE FLATIRON DISTRICT AND BEYOND

There is a delightful skylight that more than makes up for a window.

A remote by the bed controlled the skylight – so no light waking you up when you wanted blackout darkness.

The shut skylight made this the quietest room we’ve ever had in New York.

We’ve spent small fortunes and slept in every neighborhood in town – nothing was as quiet as Verite.

The subway rumbles right below, but it’s actually kind of pleasant in an urban sort of way.

We never heard a fellow guest or a blaring siren from outside.
