Johnson-Wright, is the grand prize winner of the 2017 Pen 2 Paper Writing
Contest.
She was honored for her non-fiction story, "Crip Cargo."
It is NOT the typical mindless, "inspirational" pablum that permeates so much writing about people with disabilities.
It is a cold, hard, facts piece of spot-on memoir from a life lived.
